About Burgemeester Vastgoed
My name is Barry Burgemeester and I’ve worked in the property market for more than 22 years. I’m a certified real estate / buying agent, but just as importantly, I’m incredibly passionate about what I do. At Burgemeester Vastgoed we aim to ensure that you feel completely at ease with me during our search for your new home. Furthermore, by ensuring that no clients have any crossover of price and location, you know you are getting the best service possible. Ultimately, I’ll search for your ideal home and won’t rest until I’ve found it.
Extensive experience in the Amsterdam property market
I have extensive experience in finding exquisite and exclusive homes for my expat clients in Amsterdam and the surrounding areas. This experience is particularly useful for my clients given the current state of the Amsterdam property market. It’s often only possible to make closed bids on properties, this, in turn, is leading to some people overpaying in the heat of the moment. Our job is to ensure that our clients understand that sometimes it’s better to walk away from a property then to overbid and offer too much. How much you offer for a property depends on a number of factors including the percentage of the price that’s being financed versus paid with cash. If you overbid on a property and have financing, there’s a real possibility that a bank might refuse to provide the money for the purchase.
The “Burgemeester Vastgoed difference” outstanding customer service
My role is really to ensure that you get the best possible advice and weigh up the pros and cons before going ahead with an offer. You’re my client and it’s absolutely not in my interest for you to pay too much. I believe firmly that my job is to get you the best possible deal tailored to your situation and requirements.
Having worked with expats for many years, I understand that it’s important to be flexible when it comes to the time we meet. I also guarantee, that even if I’m unable to accompany you to a viewing, that I will always see a property before you make a bid on it.
